Printing Practice Preferences

The Printing Practice Preferences enables you to set printing defaults for documents that are used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can store printer settings at the practice level for NextGen documents and reports and for user-configured documents such as labels and forms. The settings include orientation, printer source, paper size, and number of copies. Each document type can have its own default printer setting. Instead of the users manually changing the print settings each time they print a different item, the default print settings are used for each document type being printed. Printer settings can also be set at the user level. The defaults set at the user level override the defaults at the practice level. If a user does not have user-level printer settings, the practice-level settings apply when the user prints a document. Note: Users can still change the settings at the time of printing. Forms Practice Preferences

The Forms Practice Preferences enables you to set up preferences for system-generated forms for your practice. These forms include Statements, Budget Letters or Budget Statements, Invoices, Itemized Bills, Demand Account and Encounter Collection Letters, and Patient Data Sheets. Set up Forms Enhanced Preferences

You can configure the list of Form Groups that appears when printing enhanced forms in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Form Groups are created in the Forms Enhanced master file in File Maintenance. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest File Maintenance Master Files Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Forms Enhanced tab. To configure the display order of groups on the Print Forms window, do one of the following: To display all form groups in alphabetical order, leave all check boxes blank. To customize the display order, select a form group and then select and buttons to move the form group to the desired order. To display only your selected form groups on the Print Forms window, select the Only show preferred Form Groups check box. To save changes and close the window, select OK.
