Set Practice-Level Printing Defaults

Set practice-level printing defaults in the Practice Preferences Printing. Access the Practice Preferences by doing one of the following: In NextGen® Enterprise PM, select the Admin > menu > Preferences > Practice. In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Practices. Double-click a practice, and then select Preferences. Practice Preferences Printing window opens. Printing Practice Preferences

The Printing Practice Preferences enables you to set printing defaults for documents that are used in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can store printer settings at the practice level for NextGen documents and reports and for user-configured documents such as labels and forms. The settings include orientation, printer source, paper size, and number of copies. Each document type can have its own default printer setting. Instead of the users manually changing the print settings each time they print a different item, the default print settings are used for each document type being printed. Printer settings can also be set at the user level. The defaults set at the user level override the defaults at the practice level. If a user does not have user-level printer settings, the practice-level settings apply when the user prints a document. Note: Users can still change the settings at the time of printing. Forms Practice Preferences

The Forms Practice Preferences enables you to set up preferences for system-generated forms for your practice. These forms include Statements, Budget Letters or Budget Statements, Invoices, Itemized Bills, Demand Account and Encounter Collection Letters, and Patient Data Sheets. Set up Forms Enhanced Preferences

You can configure the list of Form Groups that appears when printing enhanced forms in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Form Groups are created in the Forms Enhanced master file in File Maintenance. For more information, go to the NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest File Maintenance Master Files Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Admin menu, select Preferences > User > General. The User Preferences window opens. Select the Forms Enhanced tab. The Forms Enhanced user preferences enable you to make settings that have an impact on the list of Form Groups that displays when printing enhanced forms in NextGen® Enterprise PM. From the Default User Prefs - General List window, open a master file. The Default User Preferences - General window opens. Select the Forms Enhanced tab. Create New Enhanced Form

Form Groups enable you to categorize forms for organizational and printing purposes. You must create at least one Form Group before you can save an Enhanced Form. After a form group has been created, you can also edit, copy, hide, delete and unhide form groups. Open File Maintenance. Select Edit Form Group from the Forms Enhanced menu. Select New. Enter a name for the group. Select OK. Note: If All Forms is selected in the Form Group field, you are not able to modify the practice list displayed.
