Default Formula Description

Table 1. The following table describes the Default Formula fields to set up a default formula used for retail pricing.
FieldDescription
DescriptionYou can enter the name of the formula. This is a required field.
Markup %You can enter the percent of markup for the item. For example, a $100 frame with a markup of 10% (entered to the left of the decimal point as 10.) costs $110.
AddonYou can enter the dollar amount you want to add to the price. For example, a $100 frame with an add-on of $7.50 costs $107.50. If a markup percentage is used, the addon is applied after the percentage increase is calculated.
MaskYou can enter the dollar amount that you want to use to override the price. The mask replaces the digits of the price only for the digits you enter. For example, a $27 accessory with a mask of $.99 costs $27.99 or a $55.00 accessory with a mask of $4.00 costs $54.00. The mask is applied after rounding.
Fixed PriceYou can enter the fixed price, if applicable. When a fixed price is entered, all of the other formula fields become disabled. The fixed price becomes the calculated price.
Reorder LevelYou can enter a quantity in this field to indicate when this item should be reordered. Quantities from this field appear on the Inventory to Reorder report, which can be used to compare in-stock levels to the reorder levels.
Round PriceYou can select this option to round the price. Rounding is based on the first dollar position of the calculated price and is rounded up or down in five dollar increments. The following example shows how this works.

Calculated Price: 60 61 62 63 64 65 66 67 68 69 70

Rounded Price: 60 60 60 65 65 65 65 65 70 70 70
