Activate Practice Access to the Payer Master File

Open File Maintenance, and select Master Files > System > Enterprises . The Enterprises List window opens. To access your enterprise, double-click the applicable enterprise. The Modify Enterprise Information window opens. Select Preferences. The Enterprise Preferences window opens. Enable the Practice access for payer master file check box. Select OK. Assign a Practice to a Payer

In File Maintenance, select Master Files > System > Payers. The Payers List window opens. Right-click the applicable payer and then select Practice Access. The Payer Master Access by Practice window opens. Note: By default, all the practices listed on the Payer Master Access by Practice window are selected to allow access to all of the payers listed in the Payer master file. However, when a new payer is added, the practice in which the payer was created is the only one that has access to that payer. From the Practice list: Select the check boxes individually, next to the practices in the list, or right-click a practice and then select Select All option to allow specific practices to access the payer. Clear the check boxes next to the practices in the list to prevent specific practices from accessing the payer. Note: You must select at least one practice. Select OK.
